Meet Your Engineering Professionals

Brett Kiley, P.Eng
Founder & President of Cogswell Engineering
WHERE WE BEGAN
Cogswell Engineering began with Brett Kiley’s passion to build. Growing up, Brett loved to follow his father, Don, as he built houses from Nova Scotia to Bermuda. Brett went on to join the Carpenters Union, working in construction while studying engineering at Dalhousie University. Throughout his education, he continued apprenticing with his father and other mentors, learning from their entrepreneurship and dreaming of one day operating his own business. In 2016, Brett founded Cogswell Engineering, a firm dedicated to the same value and hard work exemplified by his mentors. Today, Cogswell continues growing as a diverse team of energetic experts and industry partners who serve Canadian communities.
WHERE WE'RE HEADED
As Cogswell grows, its founding values remain our true north. We will continue working closely with clients, through every step of the project, to provide safe, innovative, and value-based engineering.
